In the final group stage encounter of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, it’s the South-Asian giants, Pakistan taking on the rising force in World Cricket, Ireland. The match is scheduled to be played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Sunday, March 15 and is expected to be an interesting encounter as Ireland, though conside red minnows, but are also considered as giant-killers and party spoilers as well.

Pakistan, who last won the World Cup back in 1992, have not been able to create much of an impact in the tournament since then. Although, they managed to get to the finals during the 1999 editions, they ended up losing to an exceptionally talented side of Australia.

The last edition in 2011, they reached the semi-finals, but lost to the hosts, India at Mohali. In this edition, despite the conditions being different from the sub-continent, Pakistan have a chance to create an impact following the inflow of quite a good players in the side.
 
Ireland, on the other hand, is an interesting team to watch out for following its giant killing ability in the previous edition of the tournament. They outplayed England, which almost cost them a place in the quarter-finals.
 
Although Ireland did not make it past the group stages, they were still considered as a major threat in the tournament following the England upset and almost every team played sensibly against them. The same could again be expected out from the team again, with few good players like Kevin O’Brian and Neil O’Brian, who could well make an impact again as the previous edition.
